I love Autumn its starts to get cold but eveyone is dressing up and and bringing a little light to the dark.

Llamas love getting a little spooky !

Even if you don't love halloween, harvest has been and thankgiving is coming in the USA, so Autumn is a great time to get together and relax with family and friends.

Last year, I made a huge papier mache pumpkin head for my costume it still sits in the corner of my craft room and I think its fabulous if i do say so myself.

I am proud of my craft efforts and have decided to share a photo of it with you.

PUMPKIN STALK

Throughout this pattern you will be working in a round.

Start off with a magic circle like the body but using 4 stiches not 6, using green wool.

Round one to three: 1sc in each st (4)

Tie off

SEWING IT TOGETHER

To finish.

grab the body (base) and a long strand of orange wool, using a wool needle, sew it through the middle a few times.

each time do not forget to pulling it tightly to make the dimple in the middle and pumpkin shape.

pad the dimple with your fingers as you go to make sure you are happy with the shape.

TO MAKE THE PUMPKIN RIDGES (SIX)

Using the same orange wool and wool needle.

Sew through the middle from the base of your pumpkin through the top.

Loop round the edge of your pumpkin to sew through the base again.

Pull it tightly and repeat the stich a few time plumpling the ridges as you sew each new line to make the shape even.

ADD YOUR DETAILS !

Using green wool sew the stalk on to the pumpkin top in the middle dimple.

Dont forget to sew and tuck in any wool ends so you cant see them.

Using black wool give your pumpkin a cheeky face !

I chose to just add cute triangle eyes but this is when you crochet llamas can let loose with a little spooky creativity !

Add eyes, a smile or a chilling grin, its up to you.

just like pumpkin carving, you can make any face that takes your fancy.

And you are done !

I hope you love the pattern and make a whole pumpkin patch !

Well, I hope you have a wonderful Halloween and if you dress up I'd love to see your photos
